Melissa Toberer, a BFA graduate with a focus on printmaking from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, has gained recognition for her monochromatic botanical illustrations that depict nature's intricate details. Her artistic endeavors have been displayed at prestigious locations like Lauritzen Gardens, Wave Hill, The New York Design Center, and The Society of Illustrators. She has been honored with the ASBA Brooklyn Botanic Garden Award for Print or Drawing in 2015 and 2024. In addition to her exhibitions, Melissa shared her expertise by contributing a tutorial on graphite drawing to "Botanical Art Techniques," a publication featuring various esteemed botanical artists. She has taken part in ASBA's Following in the Bartrams' Footsteps exhibit and their renowned international exhibitions, underscoring her commitment to the botanical art community.
